If you live in Florida, you may be blessed to have a staghorn fern or two in your yard. These ferns are very beautiful and can be found attached to trees or hanging from a chain or in a hanging basket. They can grow to be enormous! The cold weather was hard on our tropical plants this year. A great way to nourish your staghorn fern is to place a banana peel in the brown parts of the plant. As the banana peel decays, it will feed your fern! What a way to help your garden grow!
