Here in Florida, we are blessed to have beautiful blooms in our yards year round. Our landscapes are often bursting with little dots of color here and there. In my native North Carolina, February and March begin the jonquil, daffodil, hyacinth, crocus, and lilly, and tulip season. I love these delightful flowers and loved planting lots of bulbs each fall to increase our beauty each spring! I hope the new owners of our former home will delight in spring this year as they are greeted by the flowers I planted.
This time of year, I love the fragrant hyacinth. With the impending arrival of my precious friends, I delighted in purchasing a pale pink hyacinth for the living room. When I bought it on Friday, its buds were tightly closed. Today the buds are open and the beautiful floral fragrance fills our living room and beyond. As I sit and type, the beautiful smell delights me. What floral scents do you love?

What a lovely way to greet your friends! I know your thoughtfulness will be much appreciated!

So jealous of you!!!! I just read a blog where the parents took the kids on a skiing trip and the mom asked the 3 year old if he liked the snow...he replied, "yes, but I like green grasses better!"...ha! me too!

i just bought a violet one for our home and it has just bloomed, too. Love that smell, oh so spring!
I love the smell of a fresh, fragant lilly. I used to buy flowers a lot before Evie was born. Maybe it's time to treat myself to some flowers again soon.
hyacinths are heavenly. Have a great time with your friends...nice to think about all the beautiful flowers at your old house! You can come to my party anytime!
I love gardenias. Brings back childhood memories and thefragrance is sooo lovely.
We still have our beautiful amaryllis gracing us with her beauty! Just bought some white tulips a few days ago as well. In this dreary cold, we need some pretty!
Thank you for the kind comment you left on my new blog:) I have had a private blog for over 2 years and thought I would give a public one a try. Hope I can live up to the challenge? (my oldest left her cell phone in her uniform pocket...Washed and ruined:( )
So pretty ~ you are so lucky to have such beauty year round. I'm looking forward to tulips and peonies.
