Gift Idea for the Little Fellas in Your Life

Don't you just love to buy toys for children? They bring them so much delight and happiness. I miss having a really little boy. Our boy has grown up so quickly! I can't believe he and his sisters will be 10 this spring! If you have little ones at home, savor every moment. I remember how long the days can be, but the years pass in a flash.
If you have a little boy under age 9 who needs a great gift, look into Automoblox. What a great toy! They come in many different colors and shapes and sizes. You can interchange the parts to create a new look. They promote gross and fine motor skills, problem solving, and visio-spatial processing. What a great toy! Happy Shopping!

Tuesday's Tip

I love creative friends! A new friend, V, told me about the cutest gift her twin girls received from my friend, W. For their 10th birthday, W gave each girl a cute new apron and some cooking supplies and recipe cards. They LOVED it. It was the perfect gift because someone else gave the girls cooking lessons. They took their cute personalized recipe cards with them along with their spatula and wooden spoon to their first cooking lesson. I thought this was the cutest idea for a birthday present!

Husband's 40th Birthday

My dear husband is about to turn 40! I love birthdays because I believe each one is a gift (I have said this before, I know). I try my best to make those I love to feel special on their birthday. Something about turning 40 is a cause for celebration. We have moved to a new city, so we have newer friendships and a big party is not in order. DH planned his own birthday trip, so I can't surprise him with a getaway. I wanted to make a book of his 40 years, but I don't have all of the pictures. So... dear friends in the blogosphere, please share your ideas!! I need some ideas of how to make his 40th special. He says time away with me is enough, but I think he's just kind. I'd love to hear any ideas/suggestions. One friend, ML, gave her husband 40 gifts for his 40 years. What other ideas do YOU have? Please comment! I need your help!
