Tuesday's Tip

If you have not been to see the movie, "Julie and Julia", you need to go soon!!! What a wonderful movie. I loved learning more about the fabulous life of Julia Child. I want to try some of her recipes since I love to cook. I also loved seeing inside the life of a fellow blogger. I could so relate when Julie screamed, "I have comments!!! Someone is reading my blog!!", or something similar. As a blogger, I often wonder, "Is anyone reading this? Is there a purpose to this? Should I just quit tomorrow?" That being said, dear readers, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment on posts you like or dislike if you don't mind! You have no idea what an encouragement it can be!!
And, if you want to read Julie Powell's blog that inspired the movie, just click here!

I have been to her blog quite a few times. I adored the book. Lots of foul language though! I am now reading My Life in France, Julia's memoir. I hope to get to the movie soon! I am dying to see it!

You have to read both books that the movie was based on. They are wonderful. Having learned that Julia didn't find her calling until her late thirties, and didn't get published until she was 50, gives me hope. Maybe I will figure out what to be when I grow up!

I was also wondering, onto a different subject, if you have an update on the documentary about the manners camp. I thought that post was so interesting and have thought about it often since.

I love, love, love reading your blog! As a non-blogger myself I admire those with the passion for it. I've gotten so many ideas from you ~ from a Smathers & Branson belt for my husband (still working on that one), to a great Hilton Head restaurant (we go every summer), to Camp Graystone (my youngest daughter is on the waiting list for next year!). We also visit Tampa every spring (for my husband's job and to see a Yankees game or two)so I'll be on the lookout for ideas there too! Thanks for the wonderful reading!!!

You know I loved both books and read Julie & Julia as soon as it hit the book shelf. I could not believe that years later a movie was being made with MS in it! What could be better?
I adore you blog and love reading it!!

I agree, this is a fabulous movie, it did make me quite hungry, however. I've visited her blog as well and just finished the book (Julie and Julia). Actually I finished on the plane and passed it on to my seat-mate; Her little 3-year old (or so) daughter was such a sweet doll on the plane, I just had to give the book to her!
