I am the happy wife of one amazing husband and the proud mother of 5 precious angels, including a set of triplets!! I love being a mother & learning how to better love, care for, cook for, and educate our children. I also like to help others when they don't receive the service promised at hotels, restaurants, etc. Enjoy learning about life at Mama Henley's House!

I have been to her blog quite a few times. I adored the book. Lots of foul language though! I am now reading My Life in France, Julia's memoir. I hope to get to the movie soon! I am dying to see it!
You have to read both books that the movie was based on. They are wonderful. Having learned that Julia didn't find her calling until her late thirties, and didn't get published until she was 50, gives me hope. Maybe I will figure out what to be when I grow up!
I was also wondering, onto a different subject, if you have an update on the documentary about the manners camp. I thought that post was so interesting and have thought about it often since.
J & Gwennie, I am going to find those books at the library! How interesting! Gwennie, I will also check on the documentary! I can't wait to see it!
By the way, you two are up WAY too early!
I love, love, love reading your blog! As a non-blogger myself I admire those with the passion for it. I've gotten so many ideas from you ~ from a Smathers & Branson belt for my husband (still working on that one), to a great Hilton Head restaurant (we go every summer), to Camp Graystone (my youngest daughter is on the waiting list for next year!). We also visit Tampa every spring (for my husband's job and to see a Yankees game or two)so I'll be on the lookout for ideas there too! Thanks for the wonderful reading!!!

I loved the book and the movie! But I am scared to cook one of Julia's creations!
I can't wiat to see the movie... Also, LOVE your blog :)
Hi! I'm reading! I adore your blog--you inspire me in so many ways! Can't wait to see this movie.
You know I loved both books and read Julie & Julia as soon as it hit the book shelf. I could not believe that years later a movie was being made with MS in it! What could be better?
I adore you blog and love reading it!!
xxx me
I agree, this is a fabulous movie, it did make me quite hungry, however. I've visited her blog as well and just finished the book (Julie and Julia). Actually I finished on the plane and passed it on to my seat-mate; Her little 3-year old (or so) daughter was such a sweet doll on the plane, I just had to give the book to her!
I read your blog!!
I'm a fan too, Huddy!!
