My Sweet and the 12 Days of Christmas

My sweetheart is the funniest person I know. He is laugh out loud funny. People have asked if I laugh all of the time, and I do. I used to think I was pretty funny until I met my man. He is also very smart. He knows something about everything. Many years ago, we were out at a party and he was given the nickname "Renaissance Man". We laughed then, but in many ways it's true. He has so many talents.

Anyway, Pink Martini mentioned receiving gifts for the 12 days of Christmas. She loved it. Someone did the same thing for our friends, Nita and Drew, last Christmas. I am thinking about surprising my man with a gift each of the 12 days. I'm creative, but I'm not sure I'm 12-days-in-a-row-partridge-in-a-pear-tree-to-12-drummers-drumming creative. Please help me brainstorm! My sweet man rarely reads my blog, so help a girl out! Thanks, y'all!

Oh... I forgot! I am looking online for Star of Melvin but having a hard time finding it.

Oh (number 2)... my oldest goes to Rockmont, and they have dances with Greystone. AND, my cousins went to Greystone. AND, my husband's business partner's daughter goes to Greystone. AND, one of my best friends from college daughter goes too!

Small world! You should come to Aiken. It really is a lovely place.

Next time I'm near Aiken, I'll let you know!!who were your cousins? I wonder if I knew them. Yes, we know Rockmont well. I may send our son there this summer!

Ruthie Edwards and Marion Maybank. They are both younger than I am: the big 4-0.

The starter camp for Rockmont is a great way to go for a first timer.

This is CRAZY! :)

Their names sounds so familiar. I thought you were younger than me based on your pic! I just turned 38!! I will help you find the Star of Melvin.

Y'all were in GA for Thanksgiving? I'm in GA. As for the 12 gifts, can you do like coupony things, like a date night? or other things...

So, I don't have any suggestions, but I think this is such a great idea. I might try it for Samuel, if you don't mind. He would be shocked! I might do some cheap stuff- like his favorite candy one night. Then, the next night his favorite beer, and then the next night his favorite wine, and then the next night his favorite liquor, and then the next night a new beer mug. Wait...

OK... my umpteenth comment! My suggestion is one you - nor anyone else on earth - would even find remotely helpful. However, my husband loves the stuff: fruitcake! And not the homemade kind, the gross slabs you can get on the end of the aisle at the grocery or convenience store!

And thanks for your comment that you thought I was younger than 38! Today is definitely a Golden Day!
