For the 2009-2010 school year, our children and their friends have been crazy about Silly Bandz. Why didn't I create these things? A simple rubber band in a fun color and shape is a concept that is sweeping the nation! Children everywhere beg for more Silly Bandz. They are now being sold at places like Walgreens and shops at the beach. Stores advertise that they are have them in stock. I so wish I had created these things! Our sweet friend, W, bought each of our children a new pack yesterday. She is so generous!!! Every child was thrilled and went to bed talking about their Silly Bandz. One daughter even gave her bands a delicate bath. Do your children love Silly Bandz?

Yes, we have quite a collection and the Easter Bunny brought a few too! I say we create something with twist ties...what do you think!!!

I hadn't heard of that. That's right up there with the mom that invented jibbitz. Of course, rubber bands and my boys are not always a good thing.
I saw these in Walgreen yesterday! Fun! I love it when something affordable is all the rage. It's so much harder when their wants are Coach purses and Polo shirts!!

I said the same thing, "why didn't I think of that?" My children ALL love them, have collected a few and are having fun trading them with friends.
I can't believe you blogged about this! My neice and nephew are in NJ and last summer I was ordering them these by the packet-full on line. Now they are at walgreens! the kids were all together at the beach last week and the Atlanta cousins were all about them too. They've swept the nation. I am with you. why didn't we think of this? I hope to see you at the Lilly sale this year xo
