My sweet brother and sister-in-law heard me say that I would love an Immersion Blender. Well, guess what those sweet things gave me for Christmas?! I LOVE it! I was just making our Sunday dinner in advance and I tried it in our mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes have never been mashed so effortlessly!
Do you have an immersion blender? How do you love to use it? I think it is the greatest invention!

I too got one for Christmas but admit (a) I forgot I had one and (b) I've been afraid (and too lazy) to try it--gonna pull it out and give it a whirl now:)
I adore mine!! My sister gave it to me for my birthday last year. I use it to blend a roasted red pepper soup. Turns it into a one-pot wonder and keeps me from messing up other dishes. It's also great to blend my smoothies!
One friend makes delicious homemade salsa with hers. Another uses it to thicken part of her lentil soup.
I think I had something like that a million years ago. My "can't live without" is my KitchenAid mixer!
YOu know I got one for Christmas too but I keep forgetting about it. So far, I have used it for soups.
