Customer Service

I am BIG on Customer Service. How a hotel, restaurant, or shop handle our interactions help me decide whether or not I will return and spend more money there. Disneyworld is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. If I could go anywhere, it would not be Disney. However, it is the one place that our children LOVE. It is a place where hubby and I can focus solely on them and share hugs and laughs and hold little hands while riding rides, meeting characters, and walking and running mile after mile. The children always have so much fun.

This weekend was PACKED. On our last morning, we realized we had lost our son's autograph book. He has been collecting signatures for over a year and he was crushed. We searched and determined it had fallen out of the stroller, probably when we got on the parking tram. We talked about calling Lost and Found but never had time to do so.

Yesterday a package arrived from Disney addressed to our son. Inside was his autograph book!! I didn't even remember that I had written his name and address on the inside cover but I had. Disney found it and was gracious enough to return it to us. THAT is customer service!!

That's awesome! I have experience great customer service lately when things have been screwed up. I got my lunch free today, because *GAG* my first plate had a hair on it. They remade it and comped my meal. That kind of service will make me forgive and return to that restaurant.

Sherrie, I'm so glad they re-made your lunch! There is nothing worse than a hair in your food. YUCK!

Have to admit that Disney sets the bar..no matter if you love it, hate it or are in between, Disney sets itself ABOVE the rest and this story tells to all..."Disney STANDARD"! So happy for your little one!

Now, that makes you want to go back! I am already dreading our trip and Evie is only 1. Maybe we will wait until she has a sibling. Glad you had a wonderful trip.

Mama Henley! What happened? I clicked on the sweet little words you titled on Mr. MckLinky and it brought me straight to you! :)

Can you try again and just write something different?

See if it will let you. Empty Nest linked up twice.

So glad to see you at the Pearl Party!

How are your babies? We are barely managing. :)

p.s. I think that is about the sweetest thing I've ever heard with Disney returning that autograph book.
That is beyond good customer service.

Big Hug,

Sibi

So true. . . while the "GP" at Disney could definitely use some lessons in manners and modesty, their employees are very well-trained in customer service. So glad your son got his autograph book back!

If it was just my husband and me, I wouldn't care if we never went to a Disney park, resort or cruise again, but the sheer joy and wonder that the whole Disney experience brings our children gets me teary-eyed almost every time go. It's so magical for them! I'm actually looking forward to renewing our passes in a couple of months.
