Tuesday's Tip!

Good Morning, dear readers! It's that time of year where parents are having CONFERENCES with their child's teacher! We are in the midst of conferences right now. Our teachers work HARD for us and are not always paid generously. As a former teacher, I LOVED it when my parents pampered me. I love to think of things I wish they had done or to remember the special things they DID do! So, I try to do small things for our children's teachers throughout the year. Pampering your teachers does not have to be elaborate! If a teacher loves Diet Coke or wasabi spiced walnuts:), then surprise them with a little treat every now and then! I try to bring something with me on Conference Days, though I am prone to forget. My friend, W, brought all of her children's teachers a fun fast food lunch this past Friday. They ATE IT UP! Literally!

Thanks for the tip! I used to teach first grade, and loved those little extras every once in awhile.

My daughter's teachers will be receiving bath salts as part of their Christmas gift. They deserve it! :)

I am on the hospitality committee at my children's elementary school. We plan a great dinner for the teachers during conference week. This year we are hosting a Mexican Fiesta themed dinner for them. They appreciated having a yummy meal in between hours of meeting with parents.

Great idea, from a family of teachers, yes! They do enjoy appreciation sometimes...who doesn't?? What a nice thing to do!!

Thanks so much for putting in the extra effort to make your child's teacher feel appreciated. I teach at a high school and teachers very seldom receive gifts, notes or appreciation for the job they do. Yesterday was a really tough day as I had to stay at school until 7 p.m. I missed spending my afterschool time w/my children. By the time I arrived home it was bathtime then bedtime. The conference gifts you are presenting will mean so much as many teachers must be away from their families for extended time in order to hold conferences at an appropriate time for parents. Thanks again for remembering your children's teachers.
