I am the happy wife of one amazing husband and the proud mother of 5 precious angels, including a set of triplets!! I love being a mother & learning how to better love, care for, cook for, and educate our children. I also like to help others when they don't receive the service promised at hotels, restaurants, etc. Enjoy learning about life at Mama Henley's House!

I have a gorgeous faux (can't bring myself to say "fake") 9-10 foot Frasier Fir. I bought it... drum roll, please... at Hobby Lobby, and it was the best purchase we made that Christmas. I never thought I would go faux, but no watering is a plus. Also, Thymes makes a wonderful Frasier Fir home mist and candle if you miss the smell of a fresh tree.
My only suggestion concerning a pink (or any other color) tree is that, as cute and whimsical as it would be this year, do you really want to invest the time and money into something you might not want next year?
Don't mean to be the Scrooge! I guess I am just a traditionalist. I KNOW whatever you decide on you will make it phenomenal!
Blessings,
Beverly
oh you have to!!! You can decorate it in nothing but green! Or all white and silver or silver and gold... you could do something fantastic with it!
What does hubs say about this??
I LOVE the idea. And believe me, going faux was the best thing we ever did!
Haven't gone faux yet but thinking about it so I can decorate early. Why don't you try using a small, pink tree in addition to your large one?
Love it but agree with Bevysblog. You might only like it one year. If your good with that, go for it!
I would do pink for a playroom or family room, but I am just partial to the classic green. We went fake when we moved to Honduras since you cannot find real ones there and mother never turned back. They are SO easy and look great for weeks on end!
Agree with Kappa Prep - maybe in the playroom - have the kids put "THEIR" ornaments on it - trust me, over the years they really accumulate!
MY vote is to STAY REAL and TRADITIONAL....
There is a GREAT tree lot in Hyde Park every year. They sell fraiser firs and they are freshly cut from NC. I'll send the details.
Kohls has the greatest Pink trees and every year they sell out. My neighbor bought one and it has stayed up year round in her daughter's pink playroom. It is adorable. There are so many cute pink ornaments this year too.
Good luck.
I have a friend who has super classy taste and she would say, "Do it, now!"
I, on the other hand, am an traditionalist and a pink Christmas tree seems akin to the leg lamp from "A Christmas Story".
It would be fun, though, I admit. Would you all wear pink to take photos in front of it and still be coordinated? I couldn't do it as my only tree. If you go for it, please post photos!
Knowing the very hip pink in your house and just how cool you are I say it is a must!! Absolutely!! Decorate it with hot pink flamingos and green palm trees and gold balls, year after year!! You go on with your fabulous self!!
Knowing just how cool you are and all of your pink in your house, it is a must!! with pink flamingos and green palm trees and gold balls!! Absolutely fabulous!! Year after year!! It says to everyone you are fearless and festive and fabulous! Did I mention Fabulous????
I have a smaller "faux" tree in my entrance that I decorate with Lilly P. ornaments. It's my own little slice of pink and green. Can't wait to see what you decide.

cancer sucks!
