Does this Inspire YOU?

"Each second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that will never be again. And what do we teach our children? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of France. When will we also teach them what they are? We should say to each of them: Do you know what you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. Your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. You may become a Shakespeare, a Michelango, a Beethoven. you have the capacity for anything. Yes, you are a marvel and when you grow up, can you then harm another who is, like you, a marvel? You must work, we must all work, to make the world worthy of its children."

Pablo Picasso

A friend shared this quote with me, and it provoked so many thoughts and emotions. I love it! What do you think? I hope you've enjoyed a restful Sunday! We went to church, ate leftover pork, corn salad, amazing green beans, and banana pudding before a short nap. Then some of the children played with friends and we went back to church for Covenant Kids Time. The children played on the playground afterwards despite the heat. We treated everyone to Dairy Joy on the way home! What a wonderful Sunday!

What a terrific quote - and wouldn't it be wonderful to always remember our children that way? Yes, it does inspire me. Picasso was a terrible womanizer, but he was an artistic genius; even his art that I do not care for, I recognize as amazing. Sounds like you had a perfect summer Sunday - I am so glad.
Best,
Colleen

It's always great when you can be inspired by creativeness however it comes to you,....a quote, a beautiful day, or just being with others who are!

Absolutely lovely post. You know...I think of all the things I've done or will do in this life and all the accomplishments and I can HONESTLY and TRULY say that being the mother to these 5 blessings is my greatest joy and greatest accomplishment. Not to sound too cliche, but everything else pales in comparison.
Excuse me, but "Corn Salad?" Recipe please.......
