Having triplets is unique. Planning birthday parties can become difficult if they are different sexes! Our triplets are a boy and 2 girls. They are now 7, and we have not had separate birthday parties yet, but I know that day will come. For now, we have a big joint birthday party. I have fun each year planning their parties, though they have started planning with me! Imagine them having an opinion about their own party! We've had different themes each year! It's fun to think of parties with a boy/girl theme like these:
knights & princesses
Our parties:
age 1 ice cream party for all who volunteered, brought meals, were interested in the babies, prayed for us, helped us, etc. etc We invited over 100 people and baby A ate his entire cake!!!!
age 2 & 3 Easter Egg Hunt... they were born on Maundy Thursday, and this is a perfect birthday party!
age 4 Roger Day came & sang!! He is fantastic! www.rogerday.com
age 5 Bugs & Butterflies... Not to brag, but I looked back at pictures & couldn't believe I made cute food like ladybug cookies, ants on a log, and triplets in a blanket. I made bee t-shirts for the boys & gave each girl a pair of wings. We had a Bug Hunt, Bug Parade, Bug Dance, and Bug crafts & face painting. It was a fun party!
age 6 Knights & Princesses We gave the boys shields that I found at the Dollar Store. The girls wore their princess dresses and a horse and carriage took the children on rides throughout the neighborhood. It was so much fun!
age 7 Breakfast at Chick Fil A It was a great party & fall in the middle of everyone's Saturday. We had minis and milk!! Parents were welcome to stay for cinni minis & chicken minis, coffee, and milk! The cow made an appearance and the children LOVED it!
We're brainstorming for # 8! Thankfully it is not too soon!!

I am so glad I found you! I have a challenge because my boy girl twins birthday is in December! Also, they are in separate classes this year. I wishthey had a spring birthday. December is such a hard month to plan a birthday party!
What fun! These parties remind me of the Jon and Kate Plus 8 birthday!
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog! I was a camper at Greystone for 11 summers and then worked at Jr. Camp in 2003, then did the big sessions from 2004 to 2006 and finally worked in the Hostess Cabin in 2007. Uh, I just love Greystone and it was so hard not being there this summer! Do your girls so there?? I am starting to think you might be the kind commenter who left a comment on my Greystone post back in July! Do you work Jr. Camp??
Is there any sort of Christmas train in Dallas? We have a train in our town that opens for Christmas & does a Santa train. You should search for a Polar Express train near you; that would be a fabulous birthday party!!! Otherwise, read the story & have all of the children wear their pajamas & you can serve hot chocolate & give each child a silver bell at the end. Those are my ideas!!
A gingerbread house decorating party would also work for twins! Children love candy & you can make mini ones using milk cartons & graham crackers!
Enjoy!
Kappa Prep, YES, that was me this summer!! I went to Greystone for 7 years & now my girls go too! They have been to Jr. Camp for 2 years & I stay & work it so I can go to camp too!!! Greystone is very near & dear to my heart!!
Thank you so much for te train idea!! I am going to check into it now!
